News reported in Mar that, recently, Shaanxi Yulin Energy Chemical New Material Co Ltd epoxy resin integrated project (phase I) received approval for registration!
Site of construction of the CNY13.2bn investment is located in Shenmu Hi-Tech Industry Developing Zone, Shaanxi Province, mainly to build: 800kt/a methanol to propylene (DMTP) unit, 125kt/a chloro-propylene unit, 150kt/a epichlorohydrin unit, 200kt/a H2O2 unit, 300kt/a cumene unit, 350kt/a phenol-acetone unit, 240kt/a bisphenol A unit, 250kt/a epoxy resin unit, 100kt/a high salt waste water cleansing unit, 100kt/a polyolefin elastomer (POE) unit, 30kt/a EPDR unit, as well as accessory utility & auxiliary facilities. Planned start up: Oct 2024.
Shaanxi Yulin Energy Chemical New Material Co Ltd is a chemical new material project invested and developed by Shaanxi Yulin Energy Group Co Ltd, a ”coal-based, coal head to chemical tail” chain extension, make-up and intensification demo project supported by CPC Yulin City Committee and the City Government. The company is registered at Shenmu Hi-Tech Industry Developing Zone, Shaanxi Province. Borrowing back-ups from the park existing coal to methanol industry and chlorine-soda industry, the company would open a new epoxy resin process route and, by in-depth fusion with traditional chlorine-soda chemicals and coal chemicals, and realizing raw material mutual supply, build the world first coal-base methanol headed epoxy resin & downstream whole industry chain project.
