2026 Biomass Gasification & Downstream Green Products Symposium is to be held on Sep 15th -16th in Baicheng City. The conference would explore & discuss green methanol, SAF and green LNG capacity planning and biomass gasification market prospective, biomass resource collection and transport scheme, biomass breaking & molding pretreatment process and equipment, biomass fixed bed/fluidized bed/gas-flow bed and thermal cracking gasification processes & demo experiences, bio-base syngas cleaning process & equipment, bio-base syngas to downstream green product process routes, energy plant research advancement & large scale plantation prospective etc. The conference would also arrange a visit to Shanghai Electric Taonan City wind power coupling biomass green methanol integration demo project.
On Jul 31st, CNCEC Donghua Engineering Company hosted biomass gasification process seminar & “Donghua Gasifier” field observation was held in Jarud County, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonumous Region.
On the event, Donghua Company launched its “Donghua Gasifier” biomass gasification brand technology, and displayed the company’s complete R&D chain from mechanism research, cold-state fluidized and hot-state small-size tests to up-scaled pilot test & industrial verification.
“Donghua Gasifier” industrial testing unit applies the company self-developed Donghua biomass O2-firing HP gasification process, featuring of the advantages of better raw material adaptability, large treatment capacity, high carbon conversion, lower syngas tar content, less waste water effluence, and lower process cost etc, improves the process’s economic benefit & environment performance, can be widely used in production of green methanol, sustainable aviation fuel and other high-end zero-carbon chemicals and fuels, possessing important significance in promotion of Chinese biomass high-value added conversion, and to realize green low-carbon development.
As of the date, the unit had been kept under over 1000h or more than 40d continuous and stable operation, proven successful in trial burn of poplar trunk, pear branch, corn stover & cob, wheat straw and more agricultural/forestry biomass raw materials, showing good operation stability, raw material adaptability and syngas quality.
On May 26th this year, “Donghua Gasifier” smoothly passed China Petroleum & Chemical Industry Association organized technology achievement appraisal and appreciated as of strong innovation and in general approaching to an international advanced level. The process package has successfully realized business licensing to be applied in Heyuan Yunda (Handan) biomass energy Co Ltd 110kt/a green methanol project, with the single gasifier capacity meeting up to the demand of a 200kt/a green methanol unit.
