2024 shipping decarbonation & green fuel symposium is to be held on Oct 31st in Dalian. The conference is to explore and discuss global shipping industry decarbonation trend & green fuel demand, the competition pattern between marine-use green fuels, i.e. green methanol, green ammonia, green LNG, biodiesel and green hydrogen etc, international standards & certification thereof, marine-use green fuel transport, warehousing and refueling process flow, advanced equipment and working safety standard, marine-use green methanol/ammonia engine technology, marine-use green fuel production process, supply capacity and cost forecast, fuel cell and electric ship demo experiences, marine-use carbon capture process etc.
On Sep 26th, Haoyi New Energy Technology (Qingdao) Co Ltd 100kt/a straw/corn cob biomass to jet fuel and 91kt/a green methanol project was approved to register.
The project is located in Shuangliao City, Siping of Jilin Province, planned of CNY2.126bn capital investment to build the project of 100kt/a bio-jet fuel, 91kt/a green methanol, and 4700t/a acetyl propionic acid, based on yearly treatment 761kt/a agricultural/forestry waste (210kt/a straw of 35% moisture + 200kt/a corn cob of 18%moisture + 351kt/a furfural residue of 20% moisture). It is scheduled to start field work in Apr 2025 and reach completion by Apr 2028.
