ASIACHEM hosted POE, EVA & metallocene polyethylene forum is to be held on Jul 18th-19th 2024 in Zhoushan. The forum would explore and discuss energy chemical & ethylene industry chain policies against carbon peaking/carbon neutral background, high-end downstream product (polyolefins elastomer POE, EVA, metallocene polyethylene etc) market opportunity, new processes & new projects, competition force of different process routes etc.
On Jun 29th 2024, Wanhua Chemistry New Material Division phase I 200kt/a POE project realized whole process flow line-up, and outputted on-spec product, marking the success of high quality initial start-up of the first China self-developed large size POE industrial unit!
On Mar 29th this year, Wanhua Chemistry expressed on its investor interactive platform that the company’s phase I 200kt/a POE project was expected to start up in H1 2024, phase II Penglai base 400kt/a POE project had also started field construction, to hit completion by the end of 2025, when the company’s POE capacity would totalize up to 600kt/a.
