On February 20th, the East Economic Development Zone Management Committee of Dazhou, Liaoning Xingkong Sodium Battery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xingkong Sodium Battery"), and Liaoning Hongcheng Power Supply Co., Ltd. officially signed the "Sodium Ion Battery Industry Comprehensive Project" and settled in Dazhou City, Sichuan Province.
The total planned investment for this project is 11.5 billion yuan, mainly for the construction of sodium ion battery positive and negative electrode materials, battery cells, integrated manufacturing production lines, as well as supporting industries such as energy storage power stations, equipped with research and development centers and intelligent management systems, to create a new energy and new materials and supporting industry chain.
It is understood that Dazhou has natural gas, sulfur, and lithium potassium resources with an economic value of over one trillion yuan. With abundant resources, Dazhou takes energy, chemical engineering, and new materials as its leading industries, vigorously develops new energy batteries such as ferrous sulfate raw materials and battery separators, laying a solid foundation for the development of sodium ion batteries.
