On Jan 26th, CHN Energy Group Ningxia Coal Industry Co Ltd coal-base polyolefin elastomer process verifying & improving pilot project environment impact evaluation publicity was initiated.
The project is to newly build a POE pilot building & unit, including raw material refining, polymerizing reaction, flash devolatilizing, and separating recovery equipment; in addition to cabinet room, power distribution, and other utility/auxiliary facilities. By completion of the project, it should output 1000t/a POE product.
On Jan 15th, Ningxia Coal Industry coal-base polyolefin elastomer pilot project was approved for registration 。
On Nov 27th 2025, Ningxia Coal Industry Olefins #1 Branch coal-base polyolefin elastomer pilot project basic engineering preparation single source purchase bidding result was published. The awarded supplier was SINOPEC Ningbo Engineering Co Ltd.
Ningxia Coal Industry has set up a “4-step” strategic target, completion of catalyst formulation in 2023, finalizing polymerization process in 2024, accomplishing PDP development in 2025, and kicking off pilot unit construction in 2026.
